The Indiana Adoption Program will have an information table at the Bloomington Farmers’ Market, where anyone interested in adopting children from the foster care system can meet with an Adoption Champion to have their questions answered and receive free materials on adoption.

From 4-8 p.m. on First Thursday Nights, the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis has a reduced entry fee of $5 for non-member adults and youth. Parking is free.

This is the fifth year for adoption day in Tippecanoe County. This year, Thursday, November 16, has been designated ‘Adoption Day,’ and the Indiana Adoption Program, Tippecanoe County Department of Child Services (DCS), the Tippecanoe Circuit Court, and the Tippecanoe County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) office are collaborating to celebrate the adoption of several foster children. Tippecanoe County Circuit Court Judge Thomas Busch will preside over an estimated 10-15 foster care adoptions slated to be finalized on November 16. Adoption ceremonies will begin at 9:00 AM on the third floor of the Tippecanoe County Courthouse.
